Industrial Lifts and Tilters Used in the Safe and Efficient Handling of Loads in Boxes, Bins, and Baskets

For over 50 years, Autoquip has been a world-class provider of equipment solutions for performing safe and efficient bin and basket handling applications. We design and manufacture a wide range of industrial lift and tilt product that tilt, or tilt and raise, the top layer of part to within a worker’s unique ergonomic “power zone,” eliminating injuries associated with frequent reaching and bending.

By improving the fit between the demands of loading and unloading baskets and bins with the capabilities of the workers, Autoquip tilting solutions have benefited companies by reducing or preventing worker fatigue and injury, improving worker productivity and quality, and lowering worker’s compensation claims and insurance costs.

Typical lift and tilt products that Autoquip and American Lifts have designed and manufactured for bin and basket applications include:

Air-controlled non-intrusive tilter – Pneumatically controlled hydraulic non-intrusive tilter was floor mounted and had ball transfers on the deck surface to receive conveyed bins of parts onto the tilter. The bin was tilted, but due to non-intrusive design, did not tilt into the worker’s limited floor space.

Ingredient tilters  – Stand-alone 45-degree industrial tilters tilt baskets, boxes, and other containers to ergonomic work heights, minimizing bending and reaching by employees as they scoop out ingredients.

Scrap/drop tilters – DC-powered, portable high-hinge hydraulic tilters lumber scrap on end into bins or baskets.

Parts basket tilters – A 45-degree tilter is mounted on top of a scissors lift, then a fork truck places bins or baskets of small metal castings on top to be tilted up to an operator during an assembly operation. Lift and tilt motions can be controlled separately.

Non-intrusive lift and tilt combination – An integrated lift and tilt design. As the scissors mechanism opens away from the operator and raises the load, a set of tilting arms simultaneously tilts the load towards the operator creating an overall lift and tilt motion that is non-intrusive to the employee.
