Scissor Lift Tables, Tilters and Turntables for Assembly, Paint, Maintenance, Inspection, Parking and Display Applications Common to the Automotive Industry

Since 1947, Autoquip has been providing unique and innovative equipment designs specific to the Automotive industry. We are your best choice for handling four-, eight-, and eighteen-wheeled vehicles on the assembly line, at the dealership, in the parking garage, or around the loading dock, whether it is a garage lift, 2 post lift, rotary lift, or custom solution.

We custom design scissors tables, industrial tilters, and industrial turntables to enhance worker productivity through ergonomics, increase efficiency and throughput by integrating with automated systems, expand storage of parts with mezzanine lifts, and provide creative ways to position vehicles for parking, display, or loading and unloading at the dock.  Whether the application is residential, commercial, or industrial, Autoquip has the technical sales assistance, design capacity, and manufacturing capability to develop a high-quality, long-lasting custom automotive lifts equipment solution unique to the Automotive industry.

Typical lifting and handling solutions that Autoquip and American Lifts have designed and manufactured for the Automotive Industry include:

Work positioning equipment – Pneumatic and hydraulic scissors tables, industrial tilters, and manual turntables keep the work within the “power zone” of the worker during pallet build-up and break-down, parts handling, and other assembly and positioning tasks.

Bin and basket positioning tilters – Industrial tilters are used in a work station to tilt wire, wood, and metal bins or parts baskets toward the operator to minimize reaching and bending.

Chassis “skillet” lifts – Hydraulic scissor lifts with mechanical locking mechanisms are used with special lift fixtures to hold and vary the height of a vehicle chassis throughout the assembly process. This results in improved ergonomics and worker productivity.

End-of-line truck lifts  – System of multiple scissors tables are used to raise varying truck cab models off the floor-mounted drag-chain conveyor line to complete the assembly process and drive the cabs to the shipping area.

Conveyor transfer lines - Scissors lifts with a gravity or powered conveyor are used to transfer and position products during the assembly and packaging process. Products include batteries, engines, transmissions, and panels.

High cycle production lifts – Hydraulic scissors lifts equipped with enhanced mechanical and structural features, extend the serviceable life of the scissors lift in extreme, high speed, and/or high cycle production applications, with and without conveyor.

High travel material lifts – Vertical reciprocating conveyor or high-travel scissors lift designs, safely transfer carts with component parts from one landing to another for assembly, storage and inventory.

Blank feed tables for stamping process – High-capacity scissor lifts with or without powered turntables, heavy duty conveyors, automated controls, powered transport wheels, and sheet sensors are used in blank feed applications.

Paint booth lifts – Portable or fixed hydraulic scissors lifts with explosion-proof controls, personnel guard rails, and interlocked swing gates are used to position workers during the painting and finishing process.

Skid stacker/de-stacker systems – scissors lifts with large surface areas or ram lifts with powered conveyor are used to receive, raise and lower, and transfer and position empty skids at the end of the automotive production line.

Vehicle display equipment – Hydraulic scissors tables and/or powered turntables are used to raise and hold vehicles above floor level at automotive shows and dealer showrooms.

Vehicle transfer and parking lifts – Vertical reciprocating conveyors or high-travel scissors tables are used to transfer vehicles form one landing to another in automobile museums, residences, car dealerships, automotive repair shops, and commercial parking facilities.
