ANNOUNCEMENT OF AUTOQUIP CORPORATION’S PURCHASE OF AMERICAN LIFTS
On November 2nd Columbus McKinnon and Autoquip Corporation will announce the purchase of American Lifts by Autoquip Corporation. I wanted you, our customers, to know first.
I am extremely pleased with this new chapter in Autoquip’s history. American has been producing great lifts for over 70 years and they offer a variety of quality lifts that will add to Autoquip’s already formidable product line. From the Compact Lift, to Tilt Lift, to the special lifts they have designed around their base products, all will give you, our customers, an expanded and more diverse offering of lifts.
American specifically brings inplant lifts that fill specific niches in the Autoquip line. Most exciting is the level of specials American sold based on their core products. Because this has also been a key focus of Autoquip, adding this level of specials offerings will push Autoquip’s market share in large and specials lifts even higher.
I don’t have to tell you how tough a time it is for business. But it is during these times that great companies step up and position themselves for the rebound. Autoquip is that type of company, and we are pressing ahead to provide you the best and broadest line in lifting equipment today and the future.
