AUTOQUIP HIRES GREG VAZQUEZ AS MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Autoquip Corporation is pleased to announce its recent hire of Greg Vazquez, who will join the engineering team as Mechanical Engineer. Within this role, Vazquez will be doing 3D models, drawings, and creating bills of material in preparation for the manufacturing process.

MHI Announces New Safety Standard Which IBC Recognizes

January 8, 2013

The Lift Manufacturers Product Section (LMPS) within the Material Handling Industry (MHI) has released an updated version of ANSI Standard for Safety Requirements for Industrial Scissors Lifts, ANSI MH29.1:2012. The changes bring the industry in conformance with the International Codes Committee (ICC), and are recognized by the International Building Code (IBC) which has been adopted by regulatory agencies in almost all 50 states in the U.S.

Autoquip Corporation has hired Rich Polson of Bloomington, MN as Regional Sales Manager to cover the Upper Midwest territory. Rich will be responsible for sales of Autoquip lifting equipment and providing customers with solutions and technical support. Rich brings a diverse background in industrial and material handling sales. Before joining Autoquip, Rich held sales positions with Werres Corporation, Schaefer Systems International and Lift Stak & Stor Incorporated. “We expect to benefit particularly from Rich’s experience and knowledge in integrated systems and the understanding of end user applications,” said Louis Coleman, Director of Sales and Marketing for Autoquip Corporation.

Autoquip Corporation Announces Slack Chain Sensors Notification Program for FLM VRC's

The purpose of the Slack Chain Sensors Notification Program SAFETY NOTICE is to encourage owners of Autoquip’s Freight Lift Mechanical (FLM) series of vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRC) to check the Slack Chain Sensors on their FLM’s to see if it is currently set correctly and if not to adjust the device so it functions properly. The program only involves the FLM series of mechanical VRC’s and not any hydraulic or cable driven VRC.

The Autoquip Corporation has completed the acquisition of American Lifts from the Columbus McKinnon Corporation. “We’re pleased to announce that we have purchased the American Lifts brand. It’s a great fit, with tremendous synergy throughout the product lines and markets, and will benefit our customers” according to Joe Robillard, President of Autoquip Corporation.
