Mechanical Lifts

Autoquip offers a variety of Precision Mechanical Scissors Lifts depending on the application, environmental conditions, load restrictions and life cycles required. The most common applications for mechanical lifts are automated or PLC controlled systems. clean room environments, explosion-proof atmospheres, and food processing and freezing. All Precision Mechanical scissors tables offer repeatability in elevation to .06" accuracy, and - unlike most hydraulic lifts - have the ability to remain loaded in the raised position over long periods of time without drifting down. Autoquip mechanical scissors tables are also designed and manufactured to meet the safety requirements set forth in ANSI MH29.1.

Below you will find a number of different types of Precision Mechanical Scissors Lifts. You can select any one of the following to see specific information.

Horizontal Ball Screw

HBS Horizontal Ball Screw scissors lift tables offer a dependable solution to raising a load to any elevation with a high degree of repeatability. The horizontal ball screw is mounted to the center axle of the scissors lift and driven by a gear motor. The ball screw lead pushes or pulls a heavy duty, wheeled “truck" which runs on specially designed cam profiles attached to the legs which in force open or close the scissors leg set and raise or lower the lift. The horizontal ball screw lift is one of the faster and lower profile mechanical lifts, but is limited in capacity and platform size due to having room for fewer inner leg structural members.

Serapid Chain

Serapid stacking chain scissors lifts offer a dependable and stable mechanical lifting solution by lifting the load from beneath with a column of heavy duty, interlocked chain. This proprietary chain design is a simple, easily maintained, and robust solution to raising and holding loads â€" and can be used in single or multiple columns depending on the load capacity. The Serapid stacking chain mechanism is housed inside the base at the clevis end of the scissors lift and is driven by a gear motor with brake, and is stabilized with the scissors leg assembly. As with other mechanical lifts, the desired elevations can be preset with the use of a resolver or encoder with a PLC controller.

Spiral Scissor

Spiral scissors lifts offer a dependable and unique mechanical lifting solution to raising a load to any elevation from beneath with a continuous, stacked spiral column of interlocked horizontal rings and vertical bands. This proprietary spiral design provides a high degree of precision and repeatability, and can be used in single or multiple columns depending on the load capacity. The Spiralift mechanism is located inside the base at the clevis end of the scissors lift, is driven through a gear reducer and powered by an electric brake motor, and is stabilized with the scissors leg assembly. Desired elevations can be preset with the use of a resolver or encoder through a PLC programmable controller and accurately repeated with each lift cycle.

Vertical Ball Screw

Vertical Ball Screw scissors lift tables offer a dependable solution to raising a load to any elevation repeatedly by use of a vertical ball screw actuator supporting the scissors lift and load from beneath. The ball screw actuator is mounted at the clevis end of the scissors lift and is driven through a gear reducer and powered by an electric brake motor. The actuator can be mounted below grade to provide a flat open loading area, or above grade if its profile does not interfere with the loading of the lift. This style of mechanical lift provides the most cost-effective and low-profile of all the mechanical scissors lift solutions.

Mechanical Cantilever VRC

The Cantilever VRC mechanical Freightlifts are designed to move materials weighing up to 6,000 pounds between multiple elevations as high as 100 feet – typically to and from mezzanines, between floors of a building, or inside elevator shafts. Autoquip mechanical Cantilever material lifts raise and lower the carriage in two guide beams by means of a top-mounted brake motor, helical gear reducer, a one-piece drive shaft, and synchronized heavy-duty lifting chains (minimum factor of safety of 6 to 1). Operational features of the mechanical VRC include variable or high speeds, platform tension rollers and permanently adjusted chain tensioners. Safety features of this material lift include overload or jam protection, slack chain safety stop, and two safety locking cams for free-fall arrest in the unlikely event of a chain failure. Typical applications for mechanical VRC lifts are edge of mezzanine to multiple levels, freight elevator replacement, automatic systems, and conveyor projects with typical markets being warehousing, food processing, textile, and packaging and distribution. "C", "Z", and "90 degree" load patterns are available with the Cantilever mechanical VRC lift.

Mechanical Straddle VRC

The Straddle VRC mechanical Freightlifts are designed to move materials weighing up to 6,000 pounds between multiple elevations as high as 100 feet – typically to and from mezzanines, between floors of a building, or inside elevator shafts. Autoquip mechanical Straddle material lifts raise and lower the carriage in two guide beams by means of a top-mounted brake motor, helical gear reducer, a one-piece drive shaft, and synchronized heavy-duty lifting chains (minimum factor of safety of 6 to 1). Typical applications for mechanical VRC lifts are edge of mezzanine to multiple levels, freight elevator replacement, automatic systems, and high cycle conveyor projects with typical markets being warehousing, food processing, textile, and packaging and distribution. "C" and "Z" load patterns are available (no 90 degree load patterns).

Mechanical 4 Post VRC

The High Capacity 4-Post VRC mechanical Freightlifts are designed to provide extra support for off-center loads, high edge loads, and to move very heavy freight weighing up to 15,000 pounds between multiple elevations as high as 100 feet â€" typically to and from mezzanines, between floors of a building, or inside elevator shafts. Autoquip High Capacity 4-Post mechanical material lifts raise and lower the carriage in four guide beams by means of a top-mounted brake motor, helical gear reducer, a one-piece drive shaft, and four synchronized heavy-duty lifting chains (minimum factor of safety of 6 to 1). Operational features of this Autoquip mechanical VRC include variable or high speeds, platform tension rollers, permanently adjusted chain tensioners, and the ability to be a free-standing lift. Safety features of this heavy duty material lift include overload or jam protection, slack chain safety stop, and four safety locking cams for free-fall arrest in the unlikely event of a chain failure. Typical applications for mechanical 4-post VRC lifts are edge of mezzanine to multiple levels, freight elevator replacement, automatic systems, and high cycle or conveyor projects with typical markets being warehousing, textile, paper and steel mills, vehicle floor-to-floor transfer, and packaging of large unit loads. "C" and "Z" load patterns are available with the High Capacity 4-post mechanical VRC lift.
